What is your fondest memory from your own preschool days?

  • Kimberly Huber
I have 2 clear memories from preschool. I remember bringing in a litter of kittens my aunt found for show & tell.  And I will never forget the image of a kid sticking a lego up his nose & getting it caught there.  I still cringe when I see legos!
  • I remember my first year of preschool more clearly than my second, surprisingly. Like FadraN, I remember songs we sang word for word! I remember learning to put my jacket on by laying it on the floor upside down and then flipping it over my head...something I've taught my own daughters. FOOT PAINTING! :)

I only have vague memories of preschool (called nursery school back in my days). But the memories I have are lasting: the clean-up song Miss Mary sang when it was time to put the toys away, the pencil can I made from a Donald Duck orange juice can that still sits on my desk. And the more important memories came when my mom picked me up from preschool. We often went to lunch, just the two of us, to a little diner in town called Little Tavern. I still miss that place.
